Honestly, the beginning of the movie was boring. I knew from the trailers the premise and was just waiting for the switch to happen, but what unveiled in the rest of the movie was truly entertaining and heartfelt.
Amy's performance was spectacular. I've seen her stand up, I've seen Trainwreck, and this genuinely felt like a new character that she threw herself into. I liked her when I was supposed to like her, I hated her when she became an absorbed bitch and I was brought back to liking her when she came to and claimed her awfulness.
This is a romcom, don't try to paint it as anything but that and you will enjoy this movie.
