As soon as I saw the trailer to this movie, I wanted to see it! My review is not going to be full of big words, deep analytical perspectives, or multiple movie comparisons. My review is honest and simple.

I Feel Pretty is light and fun. Leave it that way.

It is also inspirational. Yep, that's right, I said it. Inspirational.

There are men and women out there struggling with self esteem and confidence. Bashing this movie, dismissing the meaning and these lengthy reviews that tear the movie apart add to the problem, not help it.

Hey, you don't have to find it funny, you can even say you were bored, but to just rip into and tear apart the message is downright cruel. It may be possible that these reviewers struggle with their own self-esteem issues, or maybe they are judgmental and egotistical?

I took my 15 year old daughter to this movie. I highly suggest all moms take their teens to see the movie, then talk about it. It's a great way to open dialogue about self-esteem and confidence. They may deal with low levels at times, or she could be around others that do and perhaps something in the movie or in your conversation will help lift up and inspire another.

Is it the best movie of all time? No. It does deserve a higher rating and a bit more respect then I've seen.
