Review of I Don't Want to Be Born (1976) by Allan C — 30 Dec 2016
Embarrassing "Rosemary's Baby" and "Exorcist" rip off that is so bad I actually questioned myself at a few points if the film was intentional camp. Joan Collins plays a new mother, but her baby is possessed by an evil spirit because of a dwarf whom she had wronged in the past had cursed the child.
I suppose that was a Rumpelstiltskin sort of thing. Luckily for Collins her sister, Eileen Atkins, is a nun and takes on the exorcism duties. Ralph Bates, Donald Pleasence, and Caroline Munro are also along for this embarrassing ride.
The film went through several that beside "The Devil Within Her" included "Sharon's Baby," "I Don't Want to Be Born," and "The Monster." This film is only worth watching as an example of bad cinema or for ironic enjoyment.
