Review of I, Daniel Blake (2016) by Ian C — 27 Oct 2016
More gritty social realism from Ken Loach. Researched and scripted by long time collaborator Paul Laverty. The food bank scene is one harrowing piece of cinema and although the film is predictable it still kicks you in the balls.
With Brexit and the uncertainty around it, things could get even bleaker in the U.K. Let's hope Mr. Loach doesn't retire as he still has lots to say.
