Review of I Could Never Be Your Woman (2007) by Heidi H — 03 Mar 2009
Really, really not as bad as critics say it is, and no it didn't deserve the direct-to-DVD fate. This is Amy Heckerling's attempt to be a female Woody Allen. I found it smart, funny, and lively.
A good effort. I love her films. Paul Rudd is, of course, quite effervescent, even though he pushes his ability to entertain to the point of almost making a sambo of himself. I loved that little girl's character too.
She was a poster-child for what pop culture is doing to young women.
