Rudd and Pfeiffer were perfectly fine, but this movie was trying to be too many things - a romantic comedy, a commentary on the baby boomer generation, a critique of modern American television. Fred Willard was.
..Fred Willard, and when you have Fred Williard outside of a Christopher Guest film, it's probably going to be not so good.
