This was a real nice surprise. Where so many romantic comedies fall flat on their face going by the numbers and being predictable, this one is just plain cute and gets away with it. Even though I would call it a "chick flick", it is perfect as a date movie or mother-daughter movie.
The music is excellent and the actors a joy to watch. Why this went directly to DVD in most countries, I don't understand. This is just one of those hidden surprises that you are lucky to find in the jungle of crap that overshadows it.
