Review of I Can Only Imagine (2018) by Eric F — 16 Apr 2018
I've only shed tears at 3 movies; Titanic, Twilight, and I Can Only Imagine. The reason behind the first two is that I was laughing uncontrollably. In the case of the latter, it was out of humor, joy, and sadness.
If you're a Christian, this movie will speak to God's plan for those who trust and believe in him, how it may not be what we have in mind for ourselves, but it is to his glory. If you are not a Christian, it is about forgiveness and not giving up on people.
Walking a mile in someone elses shoes, and understanding that they may be a monster, but they can be scared too. Ninety-three percent of the audience liked it, and I'm guessing that made the other 7% more than a little uncomfortable.
I'd recommend to any of my friends that you see this while it is still in theaters.
