This movie is all about a fathers love of his daughter.
So then he goes to court because they don't think a Beatles-loving mental retard can not raise his daughter Lucy. Sam is his name and he goes and finds a lawyer ,Rita, with help the man tries to get Lucy back in his hands.
Like what Sam and John Lennon say "All you need is love".
