Review of I Am Sam (2001) by Bowen E — 06 Mar 2010
Despite a sincere effort from Sean Penn, and Michelle Pfeiffer - in one of her more pronounced performances, one cannot help feel that this story's half-baked. All the right elements are there, but it only sums up to a lukewarm ending.
However, Dakota Fanning is nothing short of perfect and Dianne Wiest's performance as Sam's agoraphobic neighbor is wonderful.
