This movie in my opinion is the most heartbreaking movie ive ever seen. and it really left me speechless and emotionally woren out. I saw this movie in theaters almost 10 years ago and I loved it, thought it was a heart warming movie that made you appreciate life more.

yet as I have been doing alot this year, ive been rewatching movies that I saw a while ago. I understand and appreciate so much more of it this time around. Sean Penn gives one of the greatest performances in movie history.

my top 3 are Daniel Day-Lewis in There Will Be Blood and De Niro in Raging Bull, but to play a special needs person is so risky in the sensitive world we live in today and alot of critics probably didnt like the movie because of it.

but Penn does such an amazing job its really incredible he does it so bang on that its not insulting but believable. which is what made me love this movie so much. there are so many sad parts in the movie that I litteraly had to take a break from it for a few minutes because it gave me a head ache and it was hard to breathe.

no lie. as for Dakota Fanning she is so adorable in it, and you really feel the connection and genuwin love between her and Penn it is quite powerful to watch. Michelle Pfeiffer was probably the weakest out of them all yet she does have some strong moments, which is what held the movie back abit in my eyes, and it was about 10 minutes to long.

but this really is an unforgettable movie that really will open your eyes on treating everybody fairly no matter what.
