I can't believe the positive reviews for this film. I love good Italian films (Il Postino, Cinema Paridiso, I'm not Scared, Bread & Tulips). This film is a dud.

I saw it with a smart audience in Plano, TX, near Dallas. At the end, when the credits scrolled and the screen then went back to a scene, a woman in the back groanded, "please end this film!", to laughter by the others who suffered through this.

Yes, the scenery is great, and the Italian sense of style and fashion is evident, but the story is so predictable and slow.
