Review of I Am Love (2010) by Tea Teresa H — 07 Aug 2011
Very oddly edited and even more oddly photographed: Itâ(TM)s an incredibly arduous film to watch and has nothing rewarding to offer in the end. Itâ(TM)s always bordering on boredom and sometimes even touching the heights of soapish melodrama.
There was no reason for Tilda Swinton to be associated with this film as an actor, leave alone being a part of it as a producer. I am love- it says. I am bored- I say. The four stars and glowing reviews on the dvd cover are a scam.
And the red and gold and the fancy font reminds me of a saying which concerns fancy book covers- you know which one I am talking about. But the ghastly irony is the way some of the top critics of the world celebrated it.
