Review of I Am Love (2010) by Claire E — 27 Feb 2012
A bourgeois drama with beautiful Italian scenery (set in Milan), romance and bursting with pride and individuality. This will appeal to foreign film fans and culture vultures after something different, and it should please those after a nice culture drama. There is a pinch of racy passion (contains nudity) as a love story defines what is a family drama complete with cracks.
I thought it was a god film, being quite visual, cultured (very Italian in nature and character) if not a bit washy, glossy and shallow at times.
Tilda Swinton was a capable lead and the scenes varied from compelling, racy and griping to the sublimely dull.
