Review of I Am Legend (2007) by Arran V — 04 Sep 2013
I am legend is a very well done movie, with a nice mix of action, drama, startling moments, and the like. I enjoyed how well balanced it was, but it was cut off too quickly. The movie could have been a good hour longer and I wouldn't have minded.
Plus, there really wasn't enough character development. Robert Neville doesn't change throughout the whole movie. He says he doesn't believe in God near the middle, and he doesn't change that. He also doesn't believe there actually is a colony of survivors. It would have been nice if he would have had a change of heart before he died...
Then the end came too quickly. Neville's death wasn't dramatic enough, and neither was the end... it was like they ran out of time or something.
Other than that, it was a very interesting and creative movie, and its theories kept me thinking all the way through. I strongly recommend seeing this movie.
