Review of I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang (1932) by Trent M — 15 Aug 2007
Watched this about a week after seeing Muni in Scarface. Call me crazy, but this is the better film; it doesn't seem as stagy as the other film and the camera-work is quite fluid. It certainly has a message, but unlike Scarface, doesn't resort to having characters appear to lecture directly to the audience.
A very enjoyable 90 minutes.
