Review of I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang (1932) by Mike K — 20 Jan 2009
Excellent crime drama about a soldier returned from WWI who is no longer valued by society. He quite accidentally gets sucked into a life of crime, and is unjustly jailed for it. After breaking out, he becomes a valuable part of society, and is flourishing in his new life as an engineer when he is found out, and it triggers events right up until the exciting finale.
Paul Muni does an excellent job as the protagonist, James Allen, and it still makes for a very gripping movie even today.
