Review of Hysteria (2011) by David S — 26 Sep 2012

Hysteria is an interesting and tasteful take on the creation of the vibrator. Although Maggie Gyllenhaal is excruciatingly annoying throughout the movie, the rest works really well in creating a light hearted tongue-in-cheek story on how and why the vibrator came to being, regardless if it is true or not.

Hysteria is worth a viewing, but it isn't spectacular. The lack of smuttiness does the film a world of favors, considering the subject matter.
