Review of Hyde Park on Hudson (2012) by Peter V — 09 Jan 2013

I do not know how historically accurate it is. I know FDR had his mistresses but I doubt it was as blatant as portrayed in the movie. Ditto for Eleanor, and her supposed lesbianism. This was another era and people tended to be more discrete.

Overall I thought the movie was interesting and funny. Bill Murray looks nothing like FDR, but you do buy into it. His performance is that good. As Linney she is a very talented actress but her story line was boring.

I thought the interaction between FDR and King George VI was more interesting.
