Review of Hustle & Flow (2005) by Akash S — 19 Jan 2008
A coming of age tale, just in the ghetto.. the opening monologue was very shakespeare, but evoked some good ideas, nonetheless.. overrall the performances were okay.. DJ qualis wass all comedy as usual, anthony anderson stood out, and Terrence Howard was good.
. Ludacris played the big ego rapper and u dont see him til the end as it is.. Whoop that trick, get em.. film had flow, annd the character development was good, but wat lacked was emotion.. at any point, you never have sympathy for any of the characters because they chose to put themselves in that situation.
. the end was a bit pridictable.. as soon as the tape was slipped into his pocket, we new it was gonna end up in the toilet! and they could have gotten better looking hoes..
