Review of Hustle & Flow (2005) by Yves T — 14 Jan 2008
I was a excepting a very good movie about this pimp turning himself into a rapper. But on the other it turned to be a great storyline with a great feeling of memphis. As an european guy you actually see these kind of strip club, pimps or even hoods like this.
We know only one version of america which is throughout commercial well known movies like 50's get rich.. or eminem's mile and or even denzel's trainning day. But again these movies are just showing the main character which we all know in one other movie; Here the director depicts the character area to be reflected in his lyrics, we spectators are witness the rough side of these streets where anytihng goes.
So a big well done to craig bewer magnificient human side to this movie and all the cast especially anthony anderson who surprised me more than anything in whut I think is his most serious role.
