Review of Hustle & Flow (2005) by Niki S — 24 Feb 2009
I wasn't convinced as some by the supposed gritty honesty of this film. Its the American dream wearing something different, but just as sentimental. And, one imagines at the end that DJay ends up being just as arrogant as Skinny.
Nothing is learned. No evolution.
