Review of Hustle & Flow (2005) by Aaron D — 06 Jul 2009

I really enjoyed this movie for some reason unbeknownst to me. I think maybe it was Terrence Howard's acting, which so far, has never let me down. His supporting cast was great as well. DJ Qualls and Anthony Anderson give some pretty good performances in this movie.

Though I am definitely not into the music that they create, I'm glad I was able to overcome my grievances and watch this movie. If you are like me, and can look past it, you will see that this film really isn't about the music at all. I recommend that if you enjoy watching random films, or if you for some reason enjoyed Black Snake Moan (as did I- don't worry. you aren't alone) then watch this movie.
