Review of Hustle & Flow (2005) by Bradley R — 03 Jan 2010
This is a terrific film that takes a basic, convential, classic Hollywood story and places a modern element in while paying homage to 70s movies. Terrance Howard gives a great performance as the pimp that wants to change his life and "follow a dream.
" He was nominated for an Academy Award for this film and the movie won the Best Song Oscar for "It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp" by 3 6 Mafia. I'm not kidding when I say this, but this is one of the best films of the decade.
