Review of Hustle & Flow (2005) by Trevor B — 29 Dec 2009
Terrance Howard does what Denzel Washington did in Training Day, and completely alters his perceived acting past to embrace DJay, and succeeds. This isn't 8 Mile for the South, it's a film that delves in contradictions and blurs good and evil to give a gray shade over the characters.
It's hard out there for a pimp, but the hustle pays off big time.
