Review of Hush (2016) by Lambo442 — 14 Apr 2016
I'm a fan of Flanagan's work, especially absentia which is disturbing and original. This film was a bit of a disappointment for a few reasons. Firstly, the psycho is completely useless and makes some terrible decisions that get him injured and ultimately bested by a deaf person.
He only lasts as long as he does because she's even more useless, wasting countless opportunities to kill him. The prime example is when John has him in a neck-hold - all she has to do is run out and stick him a few times, but she decides to cower and hide instead.
The guy just isn't menacing at all and most serial killer psychos would just turn up and get the job done rather than play these silly games and risk getting arrested or killed.
