Review of Hush (2016) by Scott D — 18 Apr 2016
Hush: Finally - a good horror movie! A deaf-mute novelist's self-imposed life of seclusion in the woods is up-ended when a psychotic killer appears. With no one around to help her, she must use her wits to survive.
Despite a healthy dose of horror cliches, this is a surprisingly fast-paced, heart-pounding, well-acted and gruesomely realistic thriller that borrows just enough from such horror films as Scream, Friday the 13th, Halloween and the 1967 Audrey Hepburn classic Wait Until Dark, that combined, creates a unique little thriller.
B+.
