Review of Hush (2016) by Garrett S — 10 May 2016
Hush is a psychological horror thriller that does not rely on cheap cliches or jump scares. It uses true suspense and takes full advantage of having the main character be deaf and mute. I was locked into this story from the opening scene til the end credits due to some great direction by Mike Flanagan.
The acting is superb as well. The only drawbacks are that you do not learn much about the man terrorizing this woman and what his motives are. This is one of the best horror movies in recent memory. 3.
8/5.
