Review of Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016) by Alex C — 21 Jul 2016

This is quite an intriguing and action-packed film that works both as a straight fun/adventure with comedic elements and as a meditative piece on the outcasts from society, and their relative worth. It says a lot that I could easily see this film again and look forward to picking up little things (like dialog) that I missed the first time.

Although this wasn't meant to be a heavy film, I thought some of the "bad guy" characters were too one-dimensional and not anything more than basic foils for the protagonists. but that's a small gripe in an otherwise terrific film.
