Review of Human Nature (2001) by Gavin M — 28 Nov 2007
I had been told this movie is bad. That is so not the case. I mean I can see how someone might not like this film, but it seems to truly capture the title, as each character has their bought with what is essentially the nature of human beings.
The script (hilarious and sometimes downright absurd) by Charlie Kaufman captures both aspects of love and betrayal in a very real sense even if the film is a farce. Michel Gondry also once a again mesmerizes with his directing style, however this time he makes most of his tricks less obvious and goes for the more subtle approach.
Patricia Arquette is wonderful, even covered in hair, and Rhys Ifans is hilarious. Definitely a much watch for Kaufman fans.
