Review of Hulk (2003) by Brent C — 02 Jan 2012
I wasn't overally impressed with this one, certainly not your traditional super hero flick. Ang Lee seemed to focus the film on the internal struggle that Bruce Banner has with his alter ego the Hulk.
Although the back story mostly was based on a previous Marvel storyline it isn't the more familiar Hulk backstory. It focuses a lot of it's attention on Bruce's father Dr. David Banner and the conflict between them.
This storyline with Nick Nolte was not all that great and didn't come together all that well. Due to the failure of this backstory the whole film is dragged down somewhat. I can see why it wasn't successful.
The Hulk character looked pretty good but there wasn't enough good action sequences with him. Probably a skip it for most.
