Review of Howling III: The Marsupials (1987) by Sean C — 22 Nov 2009

You'll never see a werewolf film like this, complete with Cold War subplot, marsupial shapeshifters, a werewolf on ballet, a werewolf birth scene, and best of all a throw away line about how Queen Victoria and Benjamin Harrison ordered the extermination of all werewolves.

Ludicrous doesn't begin to explain this film and honestly it is this weird mix of madcap and serious that kept my attention. Also, while not superb, it is not nearly as inept as its reputation would have you believe.

And if you think this film sucks then you have not seen Howling II and VII! Bottom line, if you want a truly eccentric film check this one out.
