Review of Howling III: The Marsupials (1987) by Al M — 15 Apr 2010
The Howling III is a terrible film: horrible looking and stupid throughout. But I do have to give it credit for trying to move the werewolf genre in a new direction by injecting new levels of body horror with the introduction of marsupial werewolves.
Yes, they have pounches in their stomaches, and the fetal werewolf crawls from the female werewolf's vagina up into the pouch. While this premise is actually pretty interesting, the film is ultimately made-for-television-looking crap that entertains but always in a thoroughly cheesy fashion.
