Naturally impeccable regarding furniture, architecture, clothes and the like but not even the Merchant-Ivory team has managed to salvage the turn of the story around the time of Evie Wilcox's wedding.
And Meg's attraction to the stiff Henry Wilcox becomes even more mysterious than in the written version.
