Review of How to Steal a Million (1966) by Lynne N — 14 Jan 2008
Highly entertaining and wonderfully daft. I'd never have guessed that Peter O'Toole could make such a great romantic lead (probably because I've only ever seen his older, craggier work!), but he's more than convincing and makes a fantastic rom-com pairing with Hepburn.
I think I started to love this film from the moment Audrey turned up at the Ritz hotel, wearing her ridiculous veiled hat, and asked O'Toole to help her. Audrey's colourful wardrobe is almost a character in its own right, only adding to the fun of the film.
Extremely recommended!
