Review of How to Marry a Millionaire (1953) by Maria K — 06 Dec 2007

Stumbled over this one on tv, and when I saw the cast I just had to watch it, who can NOT want to see a movie with both marilyn monroe and lauren bacall in it? and it was really quite funny! bacall is bitter, cynical and smart - and does it perfectly as usual, grable is kooky, free spirited and a little stupid and marilyn is totally adorable as a sweet, naive and extremely short-sighted girl who doesn't dare wearing her glasses in front of men.

They're all trying to catch a millionaire to gain happiness, in classic 50'ies style, but end up...guess what?
