Review of How to Lose Friends & Alienate People (2008) by Jessica B — 01 Aug 2009
If the logic of this movie could be applied to the real world, then people change drastically without motivation. The characters were unbelievable because once their motivations were established, they could do complete 180s for absolutely no reason.
The plot had little at stake: I really didn't care if Simon Pegg's character became a success or got the girl. In fact, I was far more interested in Gillian Anderson's portrayal of a heartless and powerful publicist.
She easily stole every scene she was in. Not the best movie.
