Review of How to Lose Friends & Alienate People (2008) by A C — 11 Oct 2009
This film Directed by Robert B. Weide is really amazing; the humor tends to be very brit many times, but it is really funny and very smart. I like it when people from the industry make a parody of themselves in an INTELLIGENT way, like it happens here.
Simon Pegg is a great actor; I wans't a big fan of his but this past weekend I happened to watch two of his films: the one I am talking about now and Big Nothing, with an amazingly good David Schwimmer and the always lovely Alice Eve.
Okay, back to this one; I just need to confirm if this story is indeed based on real events and the so called Sharps magazine is actually Vanity Fair. Great film, great acting, great cast: Jeff Bridges really shows what an actor does; Gillian Anderson surprises me anytime I see her again; Megan Fox is simply perfect for the role, and so is Max Minghella.
Really smart comedy, well written and directed.
