Review of How I Live Now (2013) by Pikestrus P — 15 Jun 2014
Incest, rape and killing; just a average day in the life of post apocalyptic Britain.
Overall well acted if not that well fleshed out coming of age incest love story of cousins bright together before the break it of WW3 where Britain is over run with terrorists after a nuclear explosion. Focusing on the interactions of 4 cousins it mostly works, but is let down in the second half of the movie plot and pacing wise.
A complete lack of explaining any real back ground or who the enemy are as well as the main incestuous heroine being a unlikeable make it hard to truely invest in this film.
