Review of How I Live Now (2013) by Paul D — 10 Dec 2015
How I Live Now is beautifully filmed and Saoirse Ronan gives another solid performance, but the film felt a little uneven and slow at times. The premise is promising enough with a love story during a future third World War.
The romance, however, does not feel real enough. I'm not sure where the movie wanted to go, but by the end, How I Live Now is worth maybe a view for the great cinematography, good performances, and for being more ambitious than most of its YA counterparts.
