Review of How Green Was My Valley (1941) by Kurtis F — 15 Jul 2007
How Green Was My Valley is a beautiful movie. As far as classic dramas, this one is at the top. The movie didn't really have a single plot but instead many stories, trials and hardships that span over a few years.
It was a touching look into the life of the denizens of a Welsh coal mining town. My favourite storyline was the preacher's battle to be true to himself and his beliefs while new to this town who view their religion as something more superstitious.
Great direction and beautiful cinematography!
