Forget everything positive you ever heard about this movie. it is a painfully dull and sappy melodrama with cinema's most overrated director at the helm. it amazes that this film beat citizen, the maltese falcon, and the little foxes to win picture.
I give 1 star for maureen o hara who was pretty good.
