There's nothing scary about the computer generated ghosts, and the fast pace destroys any possible audience identification with or compassion for the characters. I'm not really sure what genre it falls into, but it definitely fails as a horror flick.
The only saving grace is the presence of Geoffrey Rush. However, even he turns out to be a big disappointment.
