Review of House of Wax (1953) by Endy G — 20 Sep 2008
Filmed in 3-D, this was one Price's earliest forays into horror as he plays a disfigured genius who loses his ability to carve wax figures in a fire, so he dips his victims in wax and is aided by a mute Charles Bronson in his crimes.
The Warner Brothers DVD includes the earlier Lionel Atwill/Fay Wray version of the film but its too bad that the 3-D effects cannot be recreated for the home video audience.
