Review of House of the Long Shadows (1983) by Will L — 25 Feb 2017

I was kind of hoping this film would be better considering you have decent Euro-horror director Pete Walker ("Die Screaming, Marianne," "House of Whipcord," "Frightmare," "Schizo") and an all-star horror cast (Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing and John Carradine).

Desi Arnaz Jr is pretty weak in the lead as an author who must stay in a spooky haunted house overnight on a bet (you've never seen that plot before, right?). If you view the film from a campy point of view, it's enjoyable enough, but don't expect an actually scary or original here (the main tip off in quality should have been that the film was produced by Yoram Globus and Menahem Golan).
