Review of House of the Dead (2003) by Jamie B — 31 May 2008
Gloriously shitty, Uwe Boll has created one of the best pieces of shit in cinema history. This one goes on my shelf as a movie to pop in with drunk friends at parties, laugh at the terrible performance, the stupid directorial decisions (footage from the game?!?!) and ATROCIOUS dialogue (examples: "The book looks really old, maybe it can help us!" "You did this so you could be immortal?! WHY!" "To live forever!").
Really this movie should replace "Plan 9 From Outer Space" as the most gloriously awful movie ever, I don't think Uwe Boll is the next Ed Wood (he has more in common with workman-like Italian directors like Bruno Mattei and Claudio Fragrasso) but this movie is so awfully awful it rules.
