Review of House of Sand and Fog (2003) by Skyler W — 12 Apr 2009

House of Sand and Fog sure isn't a feel good film. This is drama at it's best. With an amazingly captivating story, House of Sand and Fog makes its audience struggle to side with a character. The acting was great all throughout and I think that Ben Kingsley was great, especially the scene with Lester and his son and Kingsley's final scene.

I read the novel too and I really feel like this is a solid adaptation. I don't know if I ever want to watch House of Sand and Fog again, but it definitely leaves me with a strong feeling.
