Review of House of Sand and Fog (2003) by Coy L — 19 May 2010
A wanna-be Shakesperian tragedy that is obfuscated by its forced elements of melodrama, a predictable ending and the most pathetic accent Kingsley has ever embodied in a film. Powerful at moments, but if the film had had a different focus and perhaps a different director and cinematographer, the result would've improved.
65/100.
