Review of House of Sand and Fog (2003) by Donald A — 19 Mar 2011
One of the most powerful and haunting movies I've seen in a long time. Long after the credits I still had to cry; a devastating story no one will watch unaffected. The movie wouldn't have been as good as it is had it not been for the lead actor's stunning performances; they are indeed Oscar worthy. This film is not recommended for the faint of heart due to its strong subject matter, but if you want to see an honest film about tragedy I would strongly recommend this as a must see.
REWATCH: No matter how many times I've watched it, I still am affected just as much as the last. I've also regraded the movie.
