Saw this one in the cinema and couldn't make up my mind how I felt about it. Incredibly depressing story (went straight to the movie rental place to get a comedy after it), but it very true, very poignant, and very well acted.
It causes you to think and evaluate. I have found that I recommend this movie a lot, which means that I liked it, much better than I could have guessed back in '03. I highly recommend this film, followed by a chaser of comedy for those that have a hard time with dark movies.
Kingsley made this movie.. absolutely stellar acting. And that isn't saying the rest of the actors didn't hold up their end, because they did. Especially the actress playing Behrani's wife.
Watched it again recently because I had been recommending it so much. I found it just as good and just as sad (despite knowing the ending). I will continue to recommend the movie.
